The Cost of Revival Part 2

In this week’s sermon, Pastor Diran Adeleke spoke on the necessity of being “born again” as Jesus explained to Nicodemus in John 3. He took us through Genesis 1:26-28, where God made us in His image and instilled His blessings of fruitfulness and dominion within us. Pastor Diran emphasized that for God to bring about a revival in our lives and communities, we must first secure His presence through salvation. He explained the importance of personal transformation for national revival and the need to endure personal trials as preparation for God’s work.

Pastor Diran encouraged us to overcome identity crises by recognizing our true selves in God. He inspired us to look at ourselves through God’s eyes, with His purpose and potential, rather than through our past or current circumstances. He reminded us that even when challenges seem daunting, like they did for biblical characters such as Gideon and Moses, God’s plan can redefine our paths. The core takeaway was the power of spiritual revival starting with personal renewal and understanding our identity in Christ.
